Social Entrepreneurship

In its core business, DELTA conducts business-oriented activities as a full-service provider. In addition, and synergetically linked to the core business, DELTA wants to create social and environmental value. These activities are professionally organized as part of the social entrepreneurship.

DELTA wants to be a company committed to initiatives in this regard and tie them to the personal willingness of its employees to become charitable. It also aims to satisfy the need to give something back, as the privileged people we are at DELTA.

Definition:

A social enterprise is launched with the goal to create social value. As DELTA, we take social responsibility and want to get involved in environmental and social causes, e.g. in the context of corporate social responsibility activities as well as sponsoring, volunteering programs and similar.

Criteria for the activities:

  • Activities in compliance with the DELTA values
  • Assurance that the money really reaches its recipient
  • Focusing is important for a noticeably improving effect
  • At best, there is a direct or indirect relation of DELTA or individual employees to the recipient
  • At best, there is a personal willingness to help individuals and/ or the ability of individual DELTA employees can be used
  • Sustainable support and companionship should be aspired

Commitment to education

  • Participation in charitable activities of educational institutions
  • Messages that generate social and environmental benefits in lectures and courses
  • Support for students: Supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses
  • Offering internships

Commitment to sustainability and international cooperation

  • Partnership-based culture management in construction projects
  • DELTA green line: At least one sustainable aspect in every project
  • Strengthening Austrian-Ukrainian alliances
  • Support for social projects in Ukraine

Social commitment

  • Childcare institutions (e.g. orphanages, SOS Children’s Village, …)
  • Women’s shelters
  • People in need (e.g. cooking for the homeless)
  • (inmates of) prisons
  • Hospitals: social initiatives for patients (e.g. collecting donations at the cancer research charity marathon)
